What does "grounded" mean?
Nia answers only from the knowledge you approve and connect. It retrieves the most relevant passages from your content and writes the answer from those passages, not from open-web training data.
How are citations generated?
Every claim is checked against the retrieved passages by a citation gate. Only claims your sources support survive, and each is linked to the passage it came from — anything unsupported is dropped before the answer is shown.
What happens when Nia can't find an answer?
It refuses safely — telling the user it doesn't have that information rather than guessing — and records the question so you can see where your knowledge has gaps.
What content can I connect?
Pasted text, individual webpages, a whole sitemap, and Notion and Zendesk Help Center content. Website fetching is SSRF-guarded and runs only against the pages you point it at.
Does the widget expose any API secrets?
No. The embed uses a public, origin-locked key that only works on domains you allow-list. Your signing secret is never sent to the browser.
How is each customer's knowledge separated?
Every request runs inside an immutable tenant context, and a citation gate drops any passage that doesn't belong to the asking tenant — so knowledge cannot leak between customers.
Does Nia support SSO?
Yes — OpenID Connect and SAML 2.0, available on the Business plan and above, alongside role-based access and audit logs.
How long does setup take?
